We encourage you to bring an accompanier who can take notes for you and audio-record your Breast Care Center treatment decision-making visits.

If you prefer to record the appointment yourself, or if an intern is not available, you can borrow a tape recorder at the Resource Center on the ground floor of the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center at 1600 Divisadero.
Under California law, both parties to a recording must agree ahead of time. In most cases our clinicians are happy to be recorded, although this is always at their and your discretion. Check with your physician before activating a recorder.
